A DROP OF AMBROSIA FOR THOSE WHO ARE THIRSTY OF DHAMMA

“Dhammosadan Saman Naththi” this means that there is no medicine equal to Dhamma. The birth of a Buddha is soothing to all beings in the world. They receive the opportunity to hear the Dhamma that helps them end the sorrowful cycle of Samsara. We are living in such an era where a Buddha was born. In such an era, Bhikku, Bhikkuni, Upasaka and Upasika should tread in the path of Dhamma to attain the supreme bliss of Nirvana. People celebrate the Vesak festival to commemorate the birth, attaining of Enlightenment and the Great Demise of the Buddha. Buddhists across the world adhere to the principles of Buddhism.

The Buddha had preached that there is no noble act which can equal the spreading of the Dhamma of the Buddha. Hence, this book is sure to become a drop of water for those who are thirsty of the Dhamma. I bless the team lead by Dr. Damenda Porage who is the President of the Buddhist Brotherhood to continue this noble work for an elongated time. May they attain good health and live long! My heartfelt wishes are extended to those who strive to make this effort a success and may they have the courage and strength to continue this work for long. May the blessings of the Temple of Tooth in Kandy be with all of them!
